This dress has been the victim of several restyling attempts.
The waistline was taken up and the neckline fixed (removed overlocking, added interfacing, and resewed using straight stitch). The pockets were initially also knit fabric, but were removed and replaced with woven cotton poplin (in polka dots!); facing was added to the pocket openings. Each time I thought I was done, but then I found something I wanted to tweak.

Eventually this dress was resyled into a top and skirt, adding a wide waistband to both the top and the skirt.

Pattern: Cashmerette Turner dress pattern in size 20. Short sleeves with a v-neck neckline.

Fabric: navy blue cotton jersey.
